Veronika Chekaliuk

"I paint anything that in my head seems beautiful just by thinking of it. What defines my paintings is textures, colors and different materials I use on them, and that feeling, that you might not have seen it before." 

Veronika is a self-taught Ukrainian artist with a PhD in imagemaking and communications. Her work has been showcased in numerous local collective exhibitions and performances, establishing her as a significant figure in the contemporary Ukrainian art scene.

Veronika's Techniques and Concepts. "My journey with art is an ever-evolving Odyssey, where each canvas becomes a universe of its own. I use textures as the foundation, constantly experimenting with various techniques to push the boundaries of my creativity. My artistic identity is a perpetual evolution, reflecting an infinite exploration of self and expression. Women are the core of my inspiration—not merely as a nod to feminism, but as an homage to the profound impact the women in my life have had on me. My mother, my daughter, my friends—they embody a mesmerizing blend of beauty, strength, fragility, and inspiration. This feminine essence permeates my work, transcending simple themes to explore the complexities of womanhood. My paintings are as evocative as music, capturing the ambiguous and indeterminate nature of existence. The colors I use are not premeditated; they are intuitively selected, reflecting the emotional resonance of the moment. Each piece is deeply personal, a manifestation of my inner world and the process of 'love manifestation."
