The “YS” brand was founded  in 2017 and had originated in the heart of Kyiv by Yanis Stepanenko - famous designer. His path as a designer had begun after graduating from the “Royal Bournemouth Collegiate School” in England and had carried on in the legendary University of “Central Saint Martins”.  

Long separation from his homeland roots during the hostility period in Ukraine had made a significant impact upon Yanis & inspired him to continue the path of his ancestors & bring innovation of tradition to his cultural heritage. 

YS is a demi-couture brand of women’s clothing & accessories, whose priority is the revival of Ukrainian history, traditions & sacred meanings embedded in every detail. Authenticity full of aristocratism & refined elegance- is always the key to anything we create. The DNA of the brand creates a clear identity in: the juxtaposition of past and future- futuristic & historical in an innovative & contemporary interpretation. 

We stand for a sustainable & timeless approach in every Art object we produce - that can be worn & then passed throughout generations. Our aim  is to revive clothing that can be inherited & never lose its relevance. 

The aesthetic of YS pieces embraces the use of Slavic, Victorian and folklore motifs. Graceful and feminine silhouettes,  abundance of decorative elements and embellishment, signature hand-embroidery, burst of colour and ornaments,  wild volumes, only Lux fabrics and natural fibres, exclusive jacquard print.
